Hi all. We think one of our girls may have sustained an injury that went unnoticed (when it happened), likely during playtime. She squeals/screams loudly at random... usually when jumping or pushing down, then frantically grooms her tail. She's been fully inspected by our vet, even got x-rays to be safe. Nothing could be found, so we were sent home with Metacam. He assumes it's some sort of soft tissue injury, though when you manipulate her legs and arms she seems just fine. She's totally mobile, and is determined to move like normal until something hurts and she cries out again. Needless to say she's being monitored 24/7.
She's been on the Metacam for two days with no real improvement. Does anyone have personal experience with the typical time it takes to see it kick in? We have a call in for the vet, but looking for anyone who's had personal experience with this sort of thing/ rats specifically...
