Pika is still good. i am worried about her being apart from her cage mates, she deals a lot better alone right now so i have to leave her alone but I know i will have to redo intros with her. I gave them out time together all day, which for other reasons makes me feel horrible. If she is in the cage she fights with all of them. usually they pin her and she goes on her side and squeaks but she don't feel good at all so she is fighting them all. :(

I have two appointments set for Friday morning. so i have a plan a and a plan b. My baby girl is getting spayed....

I am terrified of waiting but i didn't have a choice I know part of it is from the events here but i need super healing vibes for this. i just cannot handle anything else bad right now.

New Vets name is Dr. Tracy L. Eichenseer, I wouldn't leave pika with her until I met with her. She explained what she would do, and that she is aware that rats are more fragile than larger animals. Good news is that she has done some spays so this isnt her first one, and she has also done them on guinea pigs. As soon as i said " her sides are protruding a bit if you look by her ribs." She came back with, "oh it is possible she has a tumor or cyst in there, which we can take out with the spay." She will use surgical glue to close her up thank god, i was scared she would do stitches or something. I know my pika wont allow those in there for to long. i asked her if i could have another bottle of Baytril. Just to have on hand, i know it has a longer shelf life and i prefer to keep some around just in case. and she will. I explained everything i had given her, and that she is already on baytril just to be safe. I told her i am not sure what is wrong but I know with her bleeding from her opening, that she has to have a spay. I am hoping she finds out what is in there bugging my girl and this is it for her for a bit. I explained that I still bring them in for problems but for somethings like abscess or some minor sickness i dont. I did warn her that when i do bring them in, i usually bring in a lot at a time lol.

That poor girl was terrified. I took her alone because she has been fighting with everyone so I didnt want her to wake up in kill mode and them have to deal with two fighting rats. She lost weight but she has mostly been sleeping, i have been giving her extra goodies which she eats perfectly fine but she isnt really touching her lab blocks, so i think that she just doesn't feel well.

Pika is out, had a snack ( i left her a few peanuts and pasta shells, since i know she isnt eating well, and she cannot resist those) they said she did fine and she is alert and moving around.

I am on my way to get her now :)
