So my boys have (had) fleas. They've been to the vet and have now been treated with Advantage, but I still have a question.

They have a little fluffy bed (this one) and they absolutely adore it, but of course it's covered in fleas. Would it do anything to put it in the freezer for a couple days and then washing it?
I've dealt with lice before and I know freezing the items they're on can kill them, but this is the first time I'm dealing with fleas and don't know if they're the same. Should I just re-buy everything that the fleas are on? Or will freezing/washing it work? Will the Advantage kill them all anyways?

Hopefully the type of advantage given is safe for rats. http://ratguide.com/meds/anti-infectives/advantage.php
Kitten revolution is the recommended treatment for rats with fleas, mites, etc http://ratguide.com/meds/anti-infectives/selamectin_revolution.php

To my knowledge, you will want to wash everything, and freeze everything you can not wash.
I believe that fleas live in the environment and do not normally stay on the animals so I assume you will need to thoroughly clean the environment, vacuum repeatedly, throwing out the bag immediately afterwards etc

Yes, the prescription was kitten advantage, dosage was just 1 drop.
Got it! I'll do all of this to make sure I thoroughly get all of them, hopefully this will rid of them once and for all!

Your vet can likely provide you with good information, since they deal with dogs and cats getting fleas all the time.
As I am sure you are aware, just don't use any toxins in the environment
