Oh lord, I wish I had someone like you to entrust my babies to, and I hope I'm never entrusted with something so serious.(maybe better me than some alternatives but it's not something you hope for). You did great!
Such good news that Kalila is well and healthily back to her life. The really bad hair day is secondary under the circumstances, maybe if ratties had magazines it would be a badge-of-honor-do?

That had to be pretty emotionally costly for you. You go thru something like that with a kid and it's draining til it turns out ok and by then you have a special bond. I expect Kalila is always gonna recognize, know, and relate to you as a loving, comfy & safe place :heart: You made what could have been hell for her a temporary absence from the heaven she knew you'd take her back to.

Well, little Kalila and her friends went home today. :sad3: I'll sure miss all of them, but not nearly as much as dear Kalila herself. She's just doing fantastic after her surgery, and is almost all healed up. Her momma was so happy to see her and thankful that we helped Kalila get through her ordeal and nurse her back to health, while she was out of town. I'll sure miss snuggling with her. But just happy she's safely back home with her mom, who loves her very much.
