I was right, it's a mammary tumor (we aspirated it and ran it under the slides)..but very slow growing ..so us and Dr. D. both decided that were not going to do removal ..because shes already 24 months old, and a very happy girl!

Just got to watch sugar!

I also asked about the pred and if it would help, but we don't think it would help slow it since it's mammary.

Fingers crossed she's happy with you for a very long time.

Thank you ..I hope so too.

I really think not removing it and spaying her is for the best right now. My vet is going throught a lot with his daughter in the hospital and I'v gone through more than enough with surgeries ..I just need a break! ..if this tumor was growing fast, or hurting her, I would get it done ..but I noticed it two weeks ago, and its still the same size.

I don't think pred would be any good either.
What you can do is make sure she have very little fat in her diet and no sugar at all.

Thats my goal.

Her diet now is: Extrusion/HT/The New Oxbow

She gets one plain cheerio a day for her treat in the morning.
Fresh veggies at night.

I give Teddy and Toby glucerna but I'v been taking her out of the cage when they get it.
