Aren't the ones who looked the sweetest and most innocent usually the biggest trouble makers? Maybe that's just my experience, who knows.

Not always. My boy, Roquefort, was a real doll.... and he was the friendliest guy out of my entire bunch.

Roque is the little guy in my avatar. He has been at the Bridge for over two years and I still can't part with his pic.

I miss all of my boys... but I miss Roquefort with a vengeance. He was my heart rat. :love6:

If you really want him to come out, there are things you can do, for before and after the neuter until his silly hormones settle. Btw he's young and a lot of boys will start settling down in a week or so.

What type of cage is Badger in? Do you have a cage where you can lift off the base and he can hop out of the cage on his own? You would need to chivvy him back in after he's run around, but you could try tossing treats in his cage to encourage him to go back.

How thick are your gloves too?

I am going to find Dudley-Do-Bites thread and see if there's anything you can learn from in there.

Aggh no time to read it but try it anyways...

Thanks, I'll read through this in a little bit.

He is in a cage that the whole cage top comes off, this is how I get him in yesterday. I'll try this ..I just feel so darn bad that he can't get out!

Oh and the gloves are welding gloves! Iv had rat bited before, but ones that would never go through them!

Welding gloves are... O.O He bit through THOSE?!

Oh dear, someone is in DIRE need of harble-removal!

Mr. Honeycomb changed almost the instant his harbles were taken out - he'd been such a bully Chance stuck to only one corner of the cage where Mr. H. couldn't get to him. I wasn't going to tolerate that, so snip snip and Mr. Honeycomb settled into a happy omega - it was all his hormones that were driving him to be an alpha. He seemed much better adjusted to being an omega too than an irritable 'why am I being alpha' alpha.

Soon little man, soon your stresses will be gone.
..

Yes very soon! tomorrow is the big day ..he may be stressed ..but not as stressed as I will be tomorrow once I drop him off :panic:

I hate surgery ..sigh

Wish my man lot's and lot's of good luck tomorrow! I know he will do great ..hopefully he don't bite Dr. D. :giggle:

Dr Munn told me that not once has a rat patient (even the seriously aggressive ones, or the ones in a lot of pain) have ever bit him...I think they go on their best behaviour because they are being handled by an expert, and they are in a strange place. Or they want to make us look like idiots. Dr Munn said Huron is a little doll. I have to be very careful touching him myself. :emb:

In all fairness, Dr. Munn is The Rat Whisperer or something. Rats that would NEVER allow my other vet to handle them were not even stressed being palpitated but him and getting their lungs listened to the first time we went to him. I felt stupid for warning him.

Oh dear! Badger is very much a tease!! What a cute mug! I just wanna smooch and cuddle him too!

Sending all the best positive and healing energy from our house to yours!! He'll be happy when his goolies are gone, at least that's what I told my boys before they lost theirs :giggle:

I'm going to work now, the BF is dropping him off 830ish!

Keep him in your thoughts today
