Ratturtles

I have a rat who is missing a bottom incisor, as a result her top teeth often get overgrown. I have taken her to the vet three times since I've adopted her for tooth trims. The vet sedates her with general anesthesia and then trims the teeth. So far there have been no complications with the anesthesia but everytime I bring her to get her teeth trimmed I freak out that something might go wrong. It's getting to the point where I would rather just trim the teeth at home because Im so worried about her, but at the same time I don't want to take that risk.
This post is not really about her tooth trimming, but more so about if anyone has any advice on ways to ease my anxiety. I know anesthesia is relatively safe for rats but I keep thinking about the "what if." Has anyone went through anything similar? My rattie is so good and I love her so much, I just don't want anything to happen to her.
