This is awesome and thank you for the exact dosage and regime. That's going to be very helpful for some of us in the future.
As for the bromo... I personally would stay away from it. I've seen it cause bleeding in rats, too many times now to feel that it is safe. These of course are undocumented but my vet agrees with me about that as well. I'd stick with the cabergoline. I'm happy to see that it is available online at a better price.

Can I steal your protocol list and add it to the reference section where I keep my PT information?

[pre:1ay1tuv8]T[/pre:1ay1tuv8]thanks for the info on broom

If or when she needs extra help I'll up the carb and steroid like they did in the Uk forum,

Which weirdly seems inactive? Wonder if they have a new forum and all the older stuff is just archived on the web making it look like an active forum, let let me join but I noticed no new activity in the past year or so.

Keep you posted on sophie's progress

still doing well on the cabergoline-pred ( on taper now) and ABs
we never did add the bromo- as of yet I haven't wanted to risk it as she is really quite okay.
Not super mouse like before PT and this last surgery- I posted wrong ( was July 31st not Aug)
we did up her cabergoline last week as her hind end still wasn't what I liked-
it helped quite a bit as she is getting around really well and eating very well.

So I 'll add to the update - current meds
0.125 mg/ daily compounded for her weight ( the eqiv of 0.25mg/kg) of carbergoline)
she weighs 470g now up from the low of 427g 5 weeks ago

tapering off pred - down to 0.5mg/lb BID
baytril 15mg/kg BID
doxy 5mg/kg BID

and the agnus dias ( sp) and curcuim sp? it's the super( tumeric) in oil formula and BoostX when she'll eat the
stuff w/herbs in it- I have slacked on these and am not forcing the herbal stuff so her dosing is inconsistant.

such a sweetheart she is- really mentally back 100%
and I am enjoying the reduced activity levels - she still putters for an hour or so in the playroom every night but
she never used to stay still long enough to get some good loving in before-

PT sucks for sure but she is doing really well and I am getting some 2 min plus !!
great petting sessions in now-
which I so love!!
so I can whisper in her ears and tell her how amazing she is- my best girl ever.

I can't be more happy with the cabergoline- really loving the extra blessing I am getting from having her with me the extra time whatever it might be :)
