So since we got a scale tonight, we decided to weigh the boys to see what they actually ring in as.

Only concern we really have is G'Kar, he's awfully low :( Although G'Kar has been this weight since we found out about his CHF and even with meds, he's not bringing his weight back up. He's always been the smallest of our rats too :(

So, do these sound ok? I am reading anything from 450-650 is an ok weight?

Sam - 551g
Dean - 520g
Londo - 533g
Lenir - 592g
G'Kar - 442g
Bobby - 544g
Chuck - 115g (natal, I have no idea what they *should* weigh?)
Ash - 192g (8 weeks)
Loki - 185g (8 weeks)

And thank you SQ, the box trick really does work!

Hey, I'm no expert, but I've always thought a goood weight for boys is anywhere from 450 to 550, full grown. Never had girls, so I can't speak for them. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will come along and provide some better insight tho'.

450-550 is a guideline but not one size fits all. You should take into account the size of the rat, age, length...
Pitluvs, those numbers seem good. As for G'Kar, how does he look? If he doesn't look sickly, then I wouldn't worry too much.

Rat's weight can vary.

These are my weights for my crew:

Momma – 290 (27 months?)
Bella – 330 (19 months)
Hannah -500 (23 months?)
Eve – 310 ( ??? months - I have only had her for 4 months – looks to be older – 24 months?)
Juno – 250 (14 weeks)
Oscar – 700 (20 months)
Teddy – 660 (20 months)
Toby – 600 (20 months)
Scamp – 510 (12 months)

I'd say 7 months to 8 months is pretty much an adult rat. But I don't know if they stop growing as such.

lol my guys are 20 months & STILL growing :giggle: I don't think they actually stop ..just slows down haha
