I got some advice from lilspaz   and we're gonna be ok.
on top of the sneezy girl (who, of course, stopped sneezing as soon as I was in full panic mode about it)
my girl who was treated for a URI a year ago is wheezing and has icky looking eyes and nose
:gaah:
hey, if trouble really only comes in threes, though, we're all set here- first Puffin, then Mumma and now Phaedra
whew! thank heavens for superstitions, I can relax now

original post:
my oldest girl Mumma is suddenly sneezing like crazy!!
of course, this happens on a weekend, and a long one at that, my vet is closed and the ER vet doesn't treat rats.
any ideas on what I can do for her in the meantime?
she probably has a URI right?
I mean, if she had allergies to anything in my home she'd have been sneezing all along I would think- nothing has changed as far as cleaners etc goes
I've got two asthmatic cats as well as the rats so I use all UNscented everything, absolutely no aerosols, etc etc
she also does not look well so I seriously doubt this is allergies
I don't have much experience with sick rats, but I am getting more and more each day, unfortunately
I do have some meds on hand for another rat, so if it's safe to do so, I could probably start her on antibiotics if that's what she'll likely get at the vets anyway
oh dear vet won't be open til Tuesday- US holiday
