Cookie and Hope are both sneezing and sleeping more than usual

Two of my rats have died in the past week or so, Tilly on Jan 31st - not 100% sure what was wrong with her but started with resp problems

I had to get Clair go this morning (3 tumors, very uncomfortable, possibly not urinating)

I had a serious fall myself yesterday morning, spend half the day in the ER - I am still in shock from the accident (head injury) and in a lot of pain

I have baytril leftover from Tilly and i have Doxy in tablet form, should i get their wts and start dosing them?

I don't know if my vet will give me more baytril without bringing them in but i'll ask,
i am terrified of leaving the house now, i fell on black ice and thought that i was going to die, the fall was that bad
I coulnd't move

could these two girls be depressed about Clair and Tilly or stressed by their deaths even though they NEVER shared a cage and weren't able to be introed to them (the old girls refused to accept anyone new)

could this be a stress related cold or something? I dont' want to lose any more of my babies but if i don't have to go out again right away
, that would be good too

Most vets will not give you meds for a rat they haven't seen, they are not legally allowed too. My vet will let me have refills for meds that are being given to the rats she has already seen though! I hope you can work something out with your vet should you need meds.

I have a sneezer here too, he's been sneezing for 2 months. He's still quite young so we are waiting it out, it hasn't progressed. But I do have 2 with URI's that are still being medicated. And loosing Cas and Stew recently :( Somedays I just don't want to wake up and deal with it all. But I do, and at the end of the day I am happy they are getting what they need. I understand what your going through.

Keep us posted!!

In the US they actually can write a new script if they have seen the pet in the last six months. Something like this they would probably want to see the rats though.

Also, depending on how the baytril was mixed up, it could have a longer shelf life.

Sorry things have been so rough for you lately :(
