Tumor??!

My baby Amalie has a lump on the side of her head, by her ear!
I'm taking her to the vet today to get it checked out and I'm
really worried that it might be a tumor :sad3:
How do you tell f it's a tumor or not?
I discovered the lump on Friday and I thnk it has been growing
a bit since then...
Does that mean it's a tumor?
She has also lost some weight in very little time
I weighed (?) her yesterday and her wieght was 349g but when I weighed her today
her weight was 329 g! First I couldn't believe it so I checked one more time
and she really does weigh 329 g :cry4: And I read online that
one of the symptoms to some kind of tumor is loss of weight so this doesn't
exactly help...
The vet doesn't open until 17:00 today and it worries me because
I read online that if it is a tumor it has to be treated quickly!

Please help me!

I'm sorry I missed this post... did you see the vet?
It could be a zymbal gland tumour or even a tooth abscess. I'd try out meds before anything else. My mom's Oscar has a mysterious lump in the same spot you describe but it doesn't seem to be growing or changing in any way. He also doesn't seem to be in pain either.
