Too late to neuter??

I am going to be moving to florida in a few more weeks with my 5 rats. I currently have 2 males and 3 females. I already have a double critter nation cage down there they are going to be splitting. I want to looking into getting my boys neutered so I would be able to use the full critter nation for them all. By the time we move and get the appts set up my male rats will be, a year and a half and over a year. Would it be to risky because of their age? They are both in great health and have not had any health problem(so far).

I've had rats neutered at all ages, my oldest was Radar, he was almost 2 years old. If they are in good health, I'd do it.

Ok. Thanks so much. I've already contacted a lot of vets in the area. And found the one my babies are going to be going to. Its 45 minutes away but for the caring and knowledgeable staff and vets no distance matters. They are absolutely perfect. :bow: I actually can't wait to meet them. Lol :giggle:

Same here, if they're healthy I would say go for it. A mixed colony is so much fun.
