Syringing gatorade into his mouth now, I see how his teeth SHOULD fit together. It was actually holding his mouth open, at the end. And we're wondering if it was a cyst that simply had no infection due to the baytril/doxy he was on for URI, instead of a tumor. So weird.

How bizarre.. it looks like a chickpea with the shape and what looks like a groove down the middle. Sounds like the surgery could not have gone better!

The groove is from us trying to cut it open with my pocket knife to see what it looked like. It was very difficult to cut, felt like cartilage or some such, not soft flesh at all.

That's amazing and I'm glad it was removed so easy. Makes for a fast recovery.

Currently watching this little guy suck down baby cereal and ensure, after sucking metacam(plain) and doxy(w/cherry flavor) right out of the syringe. Watching him eat might be one of the most satisfying experiences of my year. Now if I could just be sure he's drinking water... but that is probably more motherly worry than reality. :giggle:

I just thought somebody might like to see how gregory is doing, post surgery of the crazy tumor no one had ever seen before.

Took my first ever roar pic last night. =)

This is the copy I zoomed in, and we're sending a print of it to our vet who did his surgery. I think it is so COOL that you can see the divot in the right side of his tongue(left side of the pic) where they removed the tumor. He is doing amazingly well, drinking out of a water bottle again, no problem with his allergy meds out of a syringe, etc. Back to his spazzy, crazy popcorning self!

Cheers to docs willing to take a risk!

My goodness, I just read through the whole thread - absolutely astounding!

I'm SO glad he's done so well - you could barely see the divot on his tongue in the roar photo, which is so impressive!
