Sometimes they have good days and bad days. Sending healing vibes to your sweetie. Only you (as his mom) will know when he's ready to go.

I'm cancelling the appointment to have him pts!
He can use his hands again and is walking completely normally again! Looks like he might of had a really bad stroke? Or PT that is being retarded?
Regardless of what is going on, he is doing better and it's definitely not the time to have him pts.

It may be that he had a stroke and recovered. They have ups and downs with PT but no miracle recoveries without treatment, and even then that's not common.

That is awesome...I agree on the stroke I heard about them recovering.. Dopey I believe had a few prior so I would take him in and see if there is a medicine for it?

How wonderful! :joy:

If something like that ever happens again with one of your rats, see whether your vet would call a prescription for Prednisolone into a human pharmacy. The stuff is commonly available.

Good news ....
as Godmother said, use pred plus an antibiotic if it ever happens again.
Pred frequently helps if rats have strokes, pt and other nerological problems.

He looks/acts exactly like Stock did after his first stroke -- he was completely out of it, then slowly came back to being normal. He had a second stroke that killed him very suddenly a few weeks later, but the weeks in-between were a gift.

:hugs: to Timmy!
