it is the placement of his legs... he centers them under his body, but his back legs are different :) This is what i tried to get in the last video but I wasnt able to, but I did now. He walks up the barn funny, his legs are less cooperative on slick surfaces.

Loki and templeton do the same things. They will eat one handed while the other hand is holding them up. The same goes for grooming. Their coats are good and shiny both have some eye red ness but nothing other than that.

It could be it's because they are a bigger and it could be the start of HED. My Ferd is doing exactly that now.
The sores could be starting because he has to hold his feet differently and they take on a lot of pressure. Weight loss and glucosomine supplements could help. But at his age, I wouldn't recommend putting them on a diet. Maybe just cut out treats.

I ordered some of those glucosomine drops last night. They dont get a lot of treats mostly veggies. They have been on native earth 18% but now they are on oxbow since not one of my rats will pick the lab block if the oxbow is right there lol....This is partially why i am giving them the all night out time. Hoping it will help keep them moving...
