Yes it is... they'll probably love chewing on it. But they might also pee on it so perhaps you could hang it on the side of the cage so the rats can still chew it but can't go on it and pee.

I've had those before and like Jo said I hung it inside the cage. It was shredded in no time. lol

Yeah mine loved it but they covered it in urine :sick2: so I had to throw it out. I bought one made of the same thing but its a hut they can climb into.. well now its no longer a hut.. just a few pieces left LOL :laugh4:
