I have never noticed any diffence in any animals I have neutered as far as energy goes. None of my male ratties changed much after the neuter but they all seem to start to settle with age.
I am so glad he is home safe and sound. Everything should heal up great.

Comparing my neutered males to intact males, the neutered ones remained active, curious, adventurous and full of life. My intact males seem more concerned with marking and checking out the girls hoping to find one not spayed. lol

Yes, the only difference I have noticed in neutered males is they no longer empty their bladders on everything :gaah: , and they aren't as aggressive toward the other boys.

great news about splinter

I always put neutered or spayed ratties back in with their cagemates the next day.

But he has to wait 2 to 3 weeks so he is.....shooting blanks.
Females can go back right away but boys must wait a bit after neutering.....

That's true! I think SQ forgot that he's waiting to go be with girls.
I'd say 2 weeks is good enough.

 I am sure SQ forgot he is waiting to go back with girls. She was the one who told me this.
