small lump on baby rat's throat

She's about 2-3 months old, it's close to where her neck meets her body, it feels like a little pea and I can pinch the skin under it so I don't think it's attached to anything but skin. She seems awfully young to have a tumour, could it just be a cyst?

It's probably an abscess.

There's no scab, and it moves with the skin.

Watch and wait it sounds like. See if it starts growing or changing.

My boy Spocket has abscesses there. Very common place from what I've heard.
