resp issues- med question

As you might have read before I have an older manrat (approx 23 months) who has been on zithro, baytril, doxy, metacam and pred combinations since May '09 due to resp issues but most recently he was just on baytril and that seemed to be working. But now I have noticed the baytril has stopped working as well so I have a vet appointment Friday and I'm just looking for suggestions as to what meds I should ask for. The vet believes that his issue now is lung damage that is causing his symptoms so I'm not sure if there is anything to help but any advice is appreciated.

It's most likely pulmonary abscesses. So far, we have not found anything to stop it. You can slow down the growth but eventually...
I would continue with the Baytril and add Zithro.
