As a past #MyGivingStory voter, we encourage you to share your own story for the chance to win up to $10,000 for your favorite cause.
#MyGivingStory is an annual campaign and social media storytelling contest held in November in conjunction with #GivingTuesday that fosters a public conversation about generosity and encourages more people to give. Submit your story before November 30th, then share on social media to get votes! The winning storytellers receive a grant of up to $10,000 that goes to a cause that's close to their heart. Additional prizes and daily sweepstakes offer more chances to win.
#MyGivingStory champions the people who give—not just money, but time and resources. Everything we do for others creates a ripple. By sharing your giving story, you can provide encouragement for others, spreading that ripple effect and increasing giving. Here are a few prompts to help you get started on your submission:
Who's the most generous person you know?
What inspires you to give back to your community?
Was there a moment when someone else's giving impacted your own life?
Remember that your story does not have to be about a specific organization, nor does it have to involve money. We want to hear what motivates you to give—and we want to spread your message to inspire others.
