Took a couple of hours but got all the meds into him.
Uncomfortable about it as I am self medicating based on experience and reading ... (baytril + zithro, fortekor, pred, lasix)
Anyway started Ralphie on lasix yesterday and he seems to be a bit better. More active anyway ... sides re breathing and flaring nostrils are about the same ...

Ralphie seems to be doing a bit better ... the lasix made the difference.
Breathing is a bit bettter and he has more energy and interest in things.

Cutting his pred in half today and will see if I can gradually get him off it.
Hope the lasix gives the heart meds or the anitibiotics a chance to address the problem ... whatever it is ...

May take him to vet in NB next week or else get an xray done here ...
trust my regular (nonexotic but willing to research and consult,) vet in NB, but very unsure about these exotic vets here.

Feedback anyone?

If his breathing and energy levels continue to improve, you've probably got your answer. Would the vet who does the affordable spays & neuters do an affordable X-ray? If so, you could also get an opinion from our Fredericton vet, as you'd already thought of doing.

I am relieved that he is getting better.

If you find a bit of regression when he comes off the pred, put him back on, he's older so its all palliative from now on.

Good luck Ralphie!! You knew who to bite to get you back Home.
