She's actually doing pretty good this morning, dived into her soft breakfast after getting her abs and metacam. :thumbup:

So why would a rat get abscessed teeth? In humans it's because of gum disease or because of decay.

I gave her metacam, her baytril and a big breakfast which she dove into. So far nothing horribly scary has happened but I have an eagle eye on her.

Maya's having a rough night, with panicked runs...I gave her the PM metacam, so we shall have to see.

I am also going to try her on enalapril for that possible enlarged heart we saw on the x-ray...it won't hurt to try and might do something good. We have 2 days plus before she can go back to Dr. Munn.

Quiet...she's sleeping with Azzie so I am keeping things quiet for her.

Sadly the quiet was not the good thing we were hoping for. Maya passed very quietly in her cage not long ago. :sad3:

Maya... I'm so sorry I wasn't able to be with you when you passed, but I'm so glad that you had Azzie and the wonderful Shelagh to take care of you. I'll miss you dearly, I've lost so many personals lately...
