My rats fought and one has a scratch on his back

My rats got into a fight and Jasper has a scratch on his back now. He doesn't appear to notice or care but it was quite alarming at first.

Here are some pictures:

I just tried to wipe it with a tissue paper and then I applied some polysporin to prevent infection.

It's not a deep wound.

That just happened to my Luke a few weeks ago. I cleaned it as you did and he was fine. Its in a spot where he can't worry it so he should just leave it alone. I would just keep my eye on it it and keep it clean as any other cut. Hope this helps.

This happens a lot. One of those things when a rat should have zigged but zagged instead. Keep it clean like you did. I wouldn't put polysporin on it though. You don't want to promote healing on the outside. It need to heal on the inside first. It could create an abscess.

Alright. I didn't put anymore. It has started to form a scab and I think it will be fine.

They only seem to fight when I put them in my room. When they are in their cage, they don't fight.
