Making a Harlan run in December - who's in?

On the website http://www.teklad.com/globaldiet/g2014s.asp it has for example 2014 and 2014s (sterilizable). I didn't know what the difference was.
Something about an autoclave diet with the sterilizable blocks.

In a lab in controlled experiments the rats can't be exposed to ANY outside pathogens at all.... so even the food is sterilized before going in with the animals. That is what that is for.

Elizabeth, do you know when you might be doing another run after this?? I am not nearly out of food yet. I will probably run out in February. BUT I could steal jorat's idea and put a bin outside on the balcony for the winter time freezing it..... if you don't think you will be going again for a long time.

I think that one will be a good comprimise since I will have growing rats and old rats.

Mumsyrat - I know that Harlan Tek recently upped their minimum order to $1,000.00 and the last run you did was fairly recent (December), but if you ever put another order together again - I'm in, and don't forget my offer to drive still holds!

Did the order go up to $1000 or was the person at the warehouse correct that the increase was only for orders delivered?

Don't know for sure, Holly. Elizabeth was going to speak to them to clarify that and if not, try to convince them to make an exception for people in the "pet" community. Hopefully the $1,000.00 minimum is only on orders for delivery.
