Lil rat lady had a lumpectomy, need info!

Hi! My little one year old female had a lumpectomy yesterday and I picked her up from our vet this morning. Poor little Sappy has been so lazy and sleepy, and I noticed sort of fast breathing, is that normal? I'm new to pet surgery and just want to know everything I can, as in what am I to expect to happen, what should I watch out for? They gave me Baytril, and Metacam for pain and she seems to be leaving her little cloth patch...thingy alone, itches it once in a while but seems ok... I just want to be informed properly!! thankyou!

Your sweetie should come around in a day or two. Some rats take longer to recover. I've heard of the cloth being stitched on before but it was shocking to see it. Although, your little girl should be just fine, keep giving her the metacam as needed.
