Wish I could purchase more hammies but now im totally over stocked on them that I have too many! The only bonus to that is that when I clean out my cage, I'll have fresh fabric to put in right away while the dirty stuff gets clean hehe.

The Mainely Rat Rescue is in trouble!
"For a tiny bit of backstory, part of our website was hit by nasty hackers, and we have had to rebuild everything, and our stores (a/k/a the source of our operating income) have been operating via email.

Robin and I are getting ready to leave for our trip to NY this morning, Rat Fest on Saturday (Woot!) But, panic has set in! I was looking at our finances last night and it was obvious that with the website and both stores down our income has all but diminished! You guys, I cannot pay our bills! We have an outstanding vet bill of $975 and 2 up coming large surgery days and not enough money in the bank to pay for them! MRR needs to ask for your help AGAIN, and in a big way! We need to raise at least $2000 to get us out of this hole Patti is working diligently on the website and stores and although you can still order things, we do not expect the stores to be fully up and running for at least another week. We are in a serious mess. Please crosspost like crazy! Donations are tax deductible and donations can be make via paypal at our PP address [email protected]. Once I finish up most of my current orders I think I'll be making some more pre-made hammocks over the weekend/beginning of the week since I'm very low on pre-mades right now.
Are there any certain types of hammocks you'd like to see as pre-mades, any specific fabrics?

I've come up with a prototype for my new hammock design that I'll be offering soon!
It's like a tube but more "open".
It has grommets on the top to hang it up with + another grommet on each end of the tube to help keep it open.
This definately a prototype, I'm going to work on sizes & prices & they'll be available for custom order soon!
This one isn't for sale, it's going with Tonya's stuff, she's going to try it out for me Once I make some more I just might be offering some as testers

The tortilla wrap is now available for custom orders!
The Tortilla Wrap is like a tube but a bit more open.
It's perfect for elderly rats who have trouble getting around because it can easily be hung low/on the ground to form a tent that's perfect for rats to snuggle up in.
It has a grommet on the top for hanging + two more grommets on each end to help steady it & keep it's shape while it's in mid-air.
The torilla wrap is "16 long & "8 tall at its highest point & is available for $7 + shipping! They're available for custom order now + I just added some pre-made tortilla wraps to the website/facebook page if anyone's interested, they're $1 off as are all the other pre-mades.

I made my fosters a tortilla wrap hammock (not a real tortilla wrap) & they don't care for it. They don like tube-like hammocks so I don't really know what I was thinking.
Anyway I'm offering it as a free (except you DO pay shipping!) Tester hammock. It also is top stitched with red/purple thread so it doesn't exactly match. To be a "tester" you just pay shipping, I send you the hammock, you take pictures of your rats enjoying it if they like it, tell me how it went, etc. If you're interested email me at [email protected] (Or PM on here is fine too) & we'll work everything out. I only have this one tester available so the first person to contact me will get it.

Lately I've been making so many hammocks for other people's rats I haven't been able to sew much for my own (fosters)! But I finally sat down & made them some liners.
The shelf liners are top stitched in a quilt-like pattern for extra durability (I find that when I do that it takes the rats longer to chew them up)
