Intros with babies

Alright, so we have babies again! 4 cute little 6 weeks old boys.... For those of you keeping counts, yep we're up to our largest number ever 19! I know 6 weeks is an alright age to start intros, but these are little guys so I'm waiting another couple weeks. I've also been told babies are easier so, where do I start? Clark is showing interest in them although I still want to get him in with the 4 destructos that are left. Then there is poor lonely old man Bumbles, he has also came out of his cage and peered into theirs and sniffed around, but he can be unpredictable and he's still intact - not to mention a big boy. Bumbles and Peanut would probably love each other, but I hate to break up the destructos. :gaah: I'm so confused!

I could be wrong! I just know these guys are too tiny....

I like to start at 8 weeks, but if they seem more fragile, you can wait until 10.
I'll move this over to behaviour so I can keep an eye on it.

Thanks, I think - congrats on the babies or for officially losing my mind!! I doubled my rat count in 5 days!!! They are probably fine, but I have a 1 pound rat remember, they look very tiny to me!

Nothing that you guys are used to, but on Monday morning after GMC past we were down to 10, by Monday late afternoon we were at 15, and by Friday morning were at 19..... I'm certifiable. Got 5 nakies out of a house about 10 minutes from me and had arranged for someone else on here to house them until I could find them homes, BUT as soon as they climbed on the hubby and started kissing him - he melted into butter and the boys became ours!!! The others I planned on getting, well only 2, from those accidental litters in Ohio. It just so happened we were on vacation on hour from her. So we are at 19 and holding......... I cannot tell the nakies apart so I have to go get sharpies and color code them. That or tattoo them (JK) :laugh:

Yeah 6 weeks isnt an alright age. Your boys were kinda grumpy they may have flash backs and be mean even without testies some can be hard on the babies. I am with jo at 8 weeks but with boys with a past, I wait till 10 weeks. I think I generally wait that long anyway because at 10 weeks they are pretty big since boys grow so fast. I am kinda disappointed you DID not post not a one single picture of them with this post! havent we trained you better than that yet? :tmi:uppyluv: What do these little guys look like?

I know I know - I have nine new boarders and no pics.... I'm going to try and get them new threads started today.. They don't even have names yet!
