Well i missed yesterday, I know, bad. But they had today to play, and everything went fine. Thumper did groom them a little, i tried to film it, but it was hard, since it was dark in the toy. So i got out a flash light and did my best. (Thumper does sound worst, he is still getting baytril, and humidified every day.

What is that awesome little tent thingie they are in?
They are doing great, although, the second video is set to private. I love how fearless the little ones are. What a good pup with the rats.
Thumper really doesn't mind the babies either. That's awesome.

Fixed it!
And I am glad its going so well. Soon enough he will have the babies as constant companions. And im sure the babies will lvoe having a huge cage t play in when they get big enough.

Just a small update, Everything has been going well. And the boys are 8 weeks old today . I weighed them and they fall between 180-210 grams. So im hoping that within the next two weeks, they will be around 300 grams so they can move in to the bottom half of the DFN so to then do longer out times, so they can all finally live together. The boys also seem to be changing color, but im assuming in the end they will be black. Their tummy's are grey, while their sides has black and white hairs mixed in, and they also have some grey on their muzzle. I am very happy that Thumper is a nice old man XD

I need some advice, Thumper and Simba seem to be figuring out ranks, I guess you could say. And as the boys age, Thumper just seems to get puffier and puffier. I am getting the babies neutered with in the next 3 weeks. Anyways, Anytime Thumper is close to Simba, Simba stands up on his back legs and becomes stiff, then Thumper usually puts his head under Simba, or pinns him down while Simba screams. And when Thumper walks towards Simba, Simba screams and runs. I also can barely pick up Simba with out him screaming bloody murder/running away. Anyways, should I just keep watching them, is there something I can do to make Simba more Comfortable?

In that video, that looked really good. Thumper is being alpha now, those babies must be coming of age soon. How old are they now?
When Thumper goes to the boys and puts his head under them, he's asking to be groomed. Your blackies have not ratettiquette. lol Once they learn what they should be doing, Simba should settle down. A neuter will also help him deal with this new situation.
What you could do to make it better is that every time Thumper goes near Simba, you offer both of them a small treat, before Thumper has the time to put his head under Simba, before Simba gets up on his hind legs. This will counter condition Thumper's arrivals with treats and not with threats.

Thanks Jorats, The babies are now 12 weeks old. I will give your treat idea a go, hopefully it works well. I hoped for them to have all moved in by now, but Simba would freak me out with his screaming so I waited, and finally thought of asking here. XD Thanks again.
