Humping spayed female?

I wasn't basing my comment on pinning dogs on any Cesar Milan advice... I truly know very little about him. When I was younger, one of my relative's dogs was really too rough with me and they told me to do that and it worked... really well. The dog was fine with me afterward and it was better off because the alternative was he would have been banished outside. (Rural area, different country, very different mindset.)

I've only had to dominant pinch one rat, a spayed female, because she was such a terror. It did help a lot, in combination with time outs, and she no longer posed a danger to her cage mates. I don't like doing it and only use it as a last resort but it can help. It's much better than leaving a rat to live alone.

Poisoned, don't worry. I am not hurting Casper. :)
I did the "pinching" method with a neutered rat that was very aggressive and would attack tails... my sweet Charlie, haha....and it did really help lots. I would have never hurt him nor would I ever hurt Casper.

It doesn't mean that it will work with Casper.. especially without him being neutered, but it's worth the try as it did work with Charlie.

Here is the thread explaining how to do it: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4235&hilit=dominant+pinching

Victoria - I'm sure you weren't, but CM has spread that 'alpha roll' thing so much that every pet owner seems to try it.. I forget who it was, maybe another forum, but one lady got herself mauled by her own dog doing that - to a dog, who doesn't trust or respect you anyway, you putting him on his back by force is an attack. Her GSD mauled her. It's a dangerous an ineffective 'method'. No offense - I know you weren't suggesting it for dogs. I'm a dog person, behavior, training, etc. so I couldn't keep my mouth shut.

I'll read that Mia, I say pinching, and punishment and I got confused. Especially because I know from reading your posts you care a lot for your little ones.
