it's a nice cage, but it's not really big enough!

Unsure of cage dimensions, will have to get my boyfriend to measure for me as I threw out the box it all came in, which of course had measurements posted on the front. Lol.

A base should be at least 30 in by 18 in, this cage is only 25-1/4"L x 12-1/4"

Cages can be quite expensive though. My first rat cage that I had to use for a few years was only 24x14 and about 20 high. It wasn't ideal, but it was the best I could do. I just made sure they could get out as much as possible.

I'm just in this thread letting Nikki know that she's off to a good start and once she's able to upgrade I'm sure she will. ^^

 

Oh for sure, it's a lot better than a tank! but when she get's the money, I would suggest getting something bigger

Thank goodness Ruby doesn't set such high standards for me she is hardly ever in there anyway, always out scratching up my body, LOL. And I don't think those are the right dimensions cuz width definitley seems bigger than 12 inches.

I started out with a small cage when my guys were wee babies.. then got a bigger one.. now Ive got my ferret nation wich was 300 and sum :thud: but its so fun seeing them run the levels and act so excited when they first enter it lol :lol:
