Henry's fight wound abcessed....

So thanks to all of you AWESOME people, tonight I didn't freak out when I found Henry's battle wound had abcessed...
I just put him in the sink... (much to his dispise) and wash it out with homemade saline solution, the scab came off, and we dried him off, and polysporined him up!

So again, THANK YOU for all of your wonderful know-how!

It's good to be armed with info before the fact. But next time I would recommend no polysporin. You don't want the wound to close from the outside, it has to close from the inside out. But closing it outside first, it will trap whatever infection is still in there. I learned that the very hard way.

thanks for the advice, should I put anything on it? or leave it to dry out...
Also 2-3 times a day enough for flushing it?

Leave it to dry out, and 2 to 3 times is perfect.
