Help PLEASE. Help!

Oh no, here I go again. Well I think she is definately feeling better, she's a little stronger, came out of bed and ate some mushy baby food by herself. I've given her another does of Bactrim BUT I also gave her her Metcam injection and - I can't believe this - I gave her about 0.08-0.10ml almost twice as much as she should have. The medication is in a sryinge and it got stuck as I injected and too much came out. stupid stupid stupid. I said to the vet couldn't I just draw 0.05ml out and give that to her but he said no it will be fine and now it's not. I should have done what I thought
How is that going to affect her? I can't believe it

The Rat Guide indicates it's safe from 1mg to 2mg/kg. So essentially, double the dose is still safe since you are using 1mg.

She'll be fine, but you may notice she's sleepy or a little lethargic. Metacam, like any pain killer, makes you a bit sleepy. She'll be fine, though, as jorats said.

Rats tolerate metacam realy welland as Jorats said you were giving her a middle dose anyways. Javakittie is right with she might be sleepy becuase of it...but she may really need the rest as well.

Oh thank goodness. Well this morning she seems alright and she ate some mushy baby food without me offering it to her 10 times. I don't want to get my hopes up by inside I really am jumping for joy. And I guess that means I could still give her her 0.05ml tonight. I am supposed to give it to her daily now for about 5 days. Well, fingers crossed and we'll see what happens over the next couple of days.

Hi, well Holy Bejeepers! Sheba is on the mend! I can't believe I was thinking the worst just three days ago. She is even starting to take solids today. We've still got a long way to go but it's all thanks to you guys. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your help.

That is good to hear. I told you they can look like death was knocking on their door then you slowly see little improvements I am really happy she is on her way back. I know that joy all to well.
