So a while back, I had a trip to Ren's where I got food and a big bag of aspen. While cleaning out Fred & George's cage this afternoon I noticed that they had scabs on their backs. I moved onto Tempie & Teller's cage, and the same thing. UGH! Closer inspection of everyone.....I'm pretty sure I'm dealing with mites. Grrrrrrrr.

I have two tubes of Revolution (kitten) and can't do everyone with it. Should I use the two that I have today and treat the remainders on Tuesday at my next vet appointment? Or should I wait to do them all on the same day?

Anyone want a huge bag of aspen? :laugh4: Just kidding. It's going in the trash.

good to know, that's where i get my aspen. but i treat my guys monthly during the warm months, i find it less troubling then freezing the aspen with the limited space. winter makes a nice freezer though. but you have a lot more rats then i do!

48 hours is good but 72 (3 full days) is the best. It takes 72 hours for the full bag (outside to inside) to completely freeze and kill everything that can possible be in there.
I freeze everything from bedding to wood houses, food and toys.

any chance you can pick me up some revolution stuff too ill pay you, i am having the same issue at them moment i got some aspen and sammy has scabes and itching, but none of the other its vary frustrating!
