It's been a bit, but I thought I'd put up the girls new weights. Two of six girls are now spayed, and everything has been going smoothly with our vet, so yay! Here we go.

2-19-10 4-5-10
Rosie- 296g---301g--pre-op 4-14
Lena- 337g---327g
Bear- 288g--- 295g
Penny- 228g ---250g--post-op 3-24
Pancake- 265g----298g--post-op 3-3
Flower- 287g-----290g

I can't believe how HUGE Pancake has gotten! Might that have to do with her getting spayed? I know other animals tend to "bloat up" after having that surgery, but I'm not sure about rats. I also know that I'm horrible at keeping up to date with recent pics, but I will try and get some new ones up soon. Thanks for checking it out, and I hope everyone had a great Easter. :)

I was going to say... unless they are quite young, they don't seem big at all.
I've noticed that with mine, a neuter or spay doesn't really mean gaining weight. In fact, my neutered males are much skinnier than the intact ones.

I agree my neutered males are little whimps compared to my intact males.

Oh, well sorry to be misleading with the thread title. lol None of my girls are a year old yet, and for me being a first time rat mom, they seem huge. :)
--Ratty Momma, you have a girl that's 415!?! Wow! That's amazing! Thanks for the input you guys.

oh, well then ..they still have some growing I would say!
& yes my girl is a fattie, she always has been ..from the day I took her home lol
