I really don't understand how one week she looks like she's out the door then this week she has decided to perk up and want to fight....and her symptoms have changed...she's not doing the pushed out paws and clubbed feet like she was.
She slow acting, still nibbling instead of licking, her eyes still look dull but yesterday seemed a little brighter. She even surprised me and actually ate a bunch of baby food and some ensure. So I don't know if she has PT or what now.
We're trying to do what we can for her.

Mischa is still with us. We had cancelled the appointment to have her put down because those last few days she seem to be telling us she wanted to fight. Though she's having good days and bad days. So I think we're just going to let her go on her own unless we feel she's suffering. She actually was eating or doing her best to eat some Harlen yesterday. She wouldn't hold it but she'd keep it in front of her and munch on it slowly that way.
I'm not sure if we should try her on meds or not. I noticed yesterday she was doing the clubbed front paws, shes very slow moving, still bites before she figures out to lick, her eyes are always squinty, and she just kinda spaces out when she's doing anything. When she was eating she'd be taking a few bites and then just kinda stare off ahead...*sighs* It's so hard to know what to do sometimes...stresses me out.

Mischa is doing her best trying to eat blocks.

She was really congested today sounding poor girl.

Some days she wants to kinda lay there with us and others she doesn't want to be pickedup at all...so she has to be uncomfortable...she's still doin ok for getting around as long as she goes slow. Bella seems the most protective of her and is usually sleeping beside her. You can tell Bella is worried 'cause she has had a lot of proph around her eyes.

When I went to get Mischa today I thought she was dead. She was laying on her side with a lot of the girls on top of her. She was still alive but she's not well. She's staying in a fetal position pretty much and doesn't look very great. She's in a blanket on my lap right now...looking very much like Pearl did *sighs*
I would say we're in the last days with her our poor girl. She's been so strong and brave. I hope she goes peacefully.

Mischa is still with us this morning. She spent most of the night in bed with us then Ang put her back in with the girls in the early morning. They seemed happy to have her back in the cage. They were all being quite protective of her and wouldn't even let me get to her at first.
She's so frail looking and the prophrine in her eyes makes her look like she's crying blood because it's so thick and red. We keep washing her eyes for her and she seems to appreciate that. She doesn't look like she's in pain, just really confused and not comfortable.

Mischa seems to be having good days and bad days. These pictures were taken a few days ago. This was a bad day. She just wanted to lay in this position all day when we were holding her.

Today seems to be an ok day. We've been spoon feeding her baby food and the oxbow soft food Dr.Dunnett had given us for Leia when she was sick. That seems to be helping her a little. She's still extremely skinny but she felt a tiny bit better today. She managed to get herself up in a hammock last night so that was good to see.
She's a fighter that's for sure.

Mischa is still with us and doing a little better then she was. We're feeding her about 2-3 times a day. We're giving her a mix of baby food, oxbow supplement and crushed up labblocks. It looks disgusting but she loves it and it has helped her to put some weight back on which is good. She still looks sick but she's moving around a little more and seems to have a little more energy. She's still wobbly and doesn't use her hands to eat and can't eat hard food. Even though she tries.
So far it looks like she wants to fight and stay with us :)

I'm so sorry you guys. Thats an incredibly hard thing to go through and decide.

Sending loving thoughts poor little Mischa's way from my group. Give her a rub and tons of kisses for us and let her know that my Ella and Ninja are waiting to welcome her.

Poor baby girl,

We currently have a 20 month old female also with a PT and it is not nice.
We are treated the symptoms with baytril and predisone which have cushioned the effects of the PT.
When she came to us the vets and other people that had been through this told me that she would have 2-3 weeks tops BUT little Ekko is a fighter and has now been with us for a little over 7 weeks and doing well considering.

You are doing a wonderful job and i am sure she enjoys the additional effort you are putting in.

Mischa has been a little different lately she's had more energy. Enough that she's actually trying to run and comes up on her hind legs to great us at the door. It's good but at the same time worries me because maybe this is her last little spirt before she leaves us.
