Cordelia and rexzillas-Day 5 Let the smother begin.

He was scared with Finley on the table, as soon as we hit the floor in the rat room, Finley was running and Fabian was hot in pursuit lol I am going to do intros again in a little while i have been gone since 5am and i am tired lol

They had a good hour on the table no noise. I gave them a cage which included a hammock, hidey box and food. I found out the teeth chatter happens when my dogs are around. I typically use nahla for my scary intros but since it is male to female I am not using her. They were pretty decent considering i had a cage he didnt even rub up against it, but it also doesn't smell like other rats either.

Angelo really wanted Cordelia to groom him, but she didnt have time for that stuff.

She seriously has an entourage....she moved...they moved.

They look ok with each other there. In fact Angelo (fawn) looks quite pleased :thud:

She took her and ran in the box, smart girl.

I am nervous over the floor intros so we may do tables again tomorrow.

Today we did at least over an hour on the table with the cage lazy bums. it was so uneventful i had to put food out to make them stop laying around together.

After that I decided to block the room off and let them on the floor. Since there are so many other rats smells they usually trigger fabian.
I took the cage away LOL

Fabian was pretty good he would not stop sniffing her. Cupid shocked me fabian was starting to get a little cocky and he stepped in and pinned him. Good boy Cupid.

It shows a bit of the rats but it shows how I block all the cages. Not an easy task with 4 cages in a small room lol

I have finally learned how to tell. Their fur on the middle part of their back gets really thin looking and you can see their skin when they are puffy. Took me a LONG time to be able to tell with them.

Today we have a lot of pinning and grooming on the floor. Cordelia takes it very well but she gives it right back to them. The video shows it perfectly how they are starting to establish who is who. excuse me for calling Fabian a donkey but LOL he has been so good the second I say "he hasnt been rubbing." he does it.

Today Angelo is really the one pinning her down. He just holds her there. but they did have a little tussle I didnt see a mark on her but she wasnt happy after it.

Cordelia is an awesome girl, very confident and stands her own. I don't think you have much to worry about with her and this group. You can tell, she's not worried in the least.

She does but Angelo was rough with her, that always worries me with these groups well the rexzilla i have seen and felt the damage that they do LOL which is why I am totally thankful for outside eyes to watch these videos because i am partial and have the fears where others do not see or feel it since they dont live with them. I didnt give them a long time out today, since Angelo was crabby but when he was being a jerk I just put him up in her part of the cage.... I am still not confident to do a move in I need to give them a few hours out on the floor so they can get past that excitement stage of the girl being around. I am off tomorrow and since I did two major cage cleanings today i only have two left so hopefully tomorrow i can get them out on the floor for a longer period.

She is really opening up to the rat living... she is so fast and curious on the floor. She is climbing on me now but still not a fan of being picked up. She does totally show those boys hopefully that is what they need. She is a little gem and her owners had no idea what they had in her. I really hope we can keep her around for a while. she seems really healthy and active so that is a very good sign.

Doing a cage test now. I am gonna scrub it down and load let them run in and out with no hammocks or houses.

She is a screamer... She screamed for no real reason. They are in the cage a bit some boxing and so on but no major fights at this point. Usually I can tell fast how an intro will go but i cant right now lol

This is by far one of the funnest move ins that I have seen. She runs around and the boys put their head under her. She refuses to submit. When they start being over the top, she is right there boxing them. She willing groomed cobweb so she will do it, Angelo is on her constantly. He is like her stalker.

So far fine. Most of her issues was with Angelo but she does puff up a bit at him.he sniffs her and walks off like he isnt mr. bitey butt.

The only reason I am leaving her in there is he is not being the bitey jerk just the little jerk. He isnt trying to bite her, he is being rather respectful considering what a jerk he is LOL kinda how templeton was with the girls at first.

That's great. Most males respect the females in mixed colonies. They aren't as rough with them. Yay for Cordelia getting herself a sexy curly group of ratmen.

Well she survived the night. She knows what doors leads to out time. She is stays by the bottom door. She learns fast. I am still looking for those lovely cuddle pictures so intros are not done yet. LOL once I see the cuddles then I will consider it a successful intro.
