Has anyone given bromocriptine by injection?

My vet found several articles where it was given sub Q or IM instead of orally.
Since giving bromo orally seems to cause abdominal cramps, blood clotts in the intestines and black (blood in the) stool, I was wondering if it might be better tolerated sub-Q.

Does anyone have any info?

It is given sub-Q by injection for pt every 3 days instead of daily ...

Bromo is given every 3 days orally as well, I believe. What did your vet day? It may not be that the GI bleeding is caused by it being given orally, I know both Metacam and Dex still carry a GI bleed/ulcer risk if injected.
