Circulation issues, or heart issues.

Is there a pattern to when they turn blue? Like, in the mornings, or something?

not really sure, seems to be more if he's running around a lot. his mouth looks darker than the other's, too but I have very poor vision esp for things up close so I don't know-
I'm trying to get pictures but so far nothing has come out

:yeah:

Turning blue means he isn't getting enough oxygen.
He needs to see a vet and get on meds.

If heart problems are suspected then an ACE inhibitor such as enalapril (0.25 mg/454.4g) is given twice a day as a diagnostic tool. If it helps then atenolol (1 mg/454.4g) twice a day is added.
Then if he has an enlarged heart, digoxin (0.0025mg/454.4g) twice a day is also added.

thanks

he is on baytril for a chronic URI or RI, whatever the term is (breathing issues)

how long before you see results with the enalapril? if it was a heart issue?

finally get a photo of his back feet and they are back to normal
:gaah:

I'm glad of course but I can't seem to get a photo of them when they look blue

here's the normal toes:

I'm trying not to stress out about it too much because he looks great otherwise

just makes me wonder if there's something else I should be doing....

I've got a cat who drives me crazy in the same way, she seems ok mostly, but sometimes she acts like she could be quite ill. She's been to sooo many vets, had so many tests, and they never come up with anything definite. But then I'll find her sleeping in the litter box..... that's usually a very serious sign for a cat, they rarely sleep in a dirty litter box (OK stupid kittens will but she is not a kitten)

Last cat I had that slept in a litter box was terminally ill and died not long after.

sorry, gone off on a tangent there!
