I think I will try increasing the matacam first, before starting any codene.
Then adding the codene if it is needed.

I have used tramadol concurrently with metacam for a couple of rats (it can also be used with steroids as it is not an NSAID) .

I've also used both at the same time ^

I increased the metacam for Joey and Leah a bit last night as I was unsure of the strength of the metacam ... since then I have heard that all metacam is rhe same strength? and will increase to max dose. for all 3 ratties.

Joey can wiggle his feet today!

If I use the codene I will give both (thanks) but hoping the metacam will be enough.

my rat had an abscess that popped as well, she healed fine and is doing great!
