That is 100% mites or lice. They can get that anywhere, anything you bring into your home that comes from a pet store really.

The Ivermectin is injectible but can be given orally. I hate injections on rats. But I too prefer Revolution!

Like Jo said could have been anywhere but when buying stuff like stuffing freeze your stuffing for 48 hours before use that will help kill any bugs in there.

And a good vet to go might be Liston Animal Hospital in Kanata they charge $29+tax for exam fee plus any meds try printing out the info page of the stuff you need and say you know what it is and what your looking for to treat them with it may help too

stuffing as in the bedding if you do use any for the rats, like aspen or carefresh bedding im not sure witch you use.

it's $29+tax then how ever much for any meds.

$15 is an excellent price. Administer orally once a week for 3 weeks. Make sure you get the proper dose and enough for both rats.

Ivermectin worked like a charm for me. And yep, 1 time every 3 weeks. =D
