I am so sorry Peggy.
I lost my Max that way. He made it through surgery and collapsed in recovery. It was definitely his heart.
The way I looked at it, max couldn't haved lived a proper life without the neuter. Not to mention the heart issues he would have at some point.
I still beleive the neuter was the best choice.

I know it was what had to be done, and the outcome was what meant to happen but not believing I could of fought the odds by not doing it, is hard.

My others are doing OK. Choxi acts like nothing happened, Pixie is still a bit in pain, Sebastian is just hanging out and nahla is finally eating.

I hate seeing sebastian alone, but he never cuddled up with the rats, his hormones were to strong for that. I am hoping now he will lighten up and be a rat and not a male...

Watching them and making sure there is no problems. My outlook on neuters have changed though. I can still see the benefit of spays but I am just not seeing it with neuters. It is probably because I am just devastated over losing him.

I had to work today and it is was total misery, I kept wondering if they were ok lol. Longest 8 hours of my life....
