26 Rescue Rats from St. Stephen, NB - Bangor, Maine ASAP

I am looking for help getting these rats to southern Maine, at least as far as Bangor for Mainely Rat Rescue to take them in & provide foster care for them until they can be adopted out!

I am requesting donations be made to make this rescue possible! We need $40 to cover paying for the 4 adults (I do not believe this money will go towards the purchase of more rats as they're getting rid of all of them & their snakes) + money for gas. If anyone can help with the transportation, gas will be covered as long as I get enough donations. So please, if you're reading this but can't help with transportation, even a small donation will help!

I'm happy to say that thanks to Godmother we have the $40 to get these guys!! Thank you so much! Now we just need gas money & to find someone who can transport them to Bangor! I can (& would like to) come with anyone who can go, if you're going through Saint John, so you won't be picking them up & dropping them off alone!

She's decided to put the price back to $50 for some reason but I may be able to convince her to go back down... Just in case I need more donations, even $5 is a big help! And if anyone can spare a few hours & provide transportation that would be amazing!!

So .... Anyone in NB or Maine with a car and a passport that could find the time this month to transport a lot of rats from Nb to Bangor, Maine?

They need to be picked up before they are gone, but kind of hard to do without the knowing that they will eventually have a drive to Mainely Rat Rescue

Thanks to Godmother & Temblabamomo I now have $70, which is enough to pay for the rats plus $20 towards gas!

I will have money to put towards gas next weekend for the trip to Bangor, however my main focus right now is to get them from their current owner! I need to get them out of there asap & am willing to foster them until I can get the drive to Bangor... I am confident that I can find someone who is able to make the time for the trip.

Is anyone able to pick them up from St. David tonight (I realize it is getting late now) or tomorrow? St. David is located right next to the St. Stephen airport, just outside of St. Stephen.

if you can write up a summary of what you need (I'd do it myself but I'm exhausted and don't want to screw up the details) I can post it on all the groups/message boards i belong to

Ok, this is what I posted on Maritime Rat Rescue Group on fb & The Shack's fb group so I think it gives enough information, I'm just going to edit it to add my name...:

Hi, My name is Meagan Bradford & I'm trying to rescue 26 rats from a former snake owner near St. Stephen, NB (Canada) who just sold their snake & is selling ALL of their rats. I have received some donations to get them & for gas money to do so (I don't have a car) but I need to find a drive to get there & back. I'm also looking for a drive to Bangor, Maine because Mainely Rat Rescue has agreed to take them all!! I need to pick them up from their current owner asap so that is my current focus! Is anyone here able to help!? Thanks so much if you can & if not, I completely understand. My email for donations or to contact me is [email protected]; Right now I have enough for gas to pick them up but I need to find a drive from Saint John to St. Stephen or for someone to pick them up in St. Stephen & bring them to me (in Saint John) UNLESS you could bring them all the way to Bangor.

If anyone is in St. Stephen & could even bring them as far as Pennfield or Lepreau I know someone who is travelling from that area to Saint John today!

((That last part can be added too, Petunia, but it won't mean much to members of goosemoose probably, I just need to get it out there if someone can even transport half way to me))

Thanks to Godmother, Temblabamomo, Jorats & Ratkin412 I know have a little over $100 towards rescuing these guys!!
That's enough to buy them + gas to get there & back! Woohoo!

I will still need help paying for the gas to Bangor & if I can get them today but not to Bangor for another week or something then I'll need some help paying for their food... If anyone can spare even $5 it all adds up!

My stomach feels like this right now :sick2: because I'm excited but soo nervous that something will happen

So, I still need to find a drive to take them all the way to Bangor! But from Saint John instead of St. Stephen... I will ask my friend Natalie but she may not have her passport or something. lol One thing at a time, right!?

She is... I kinda told her last night that I might have a drive there this evening & she said that would be great. It was to secure them for me lol she said they'll be there waiting for me
