Last night I noticed one of my boys standng by himself, staring into space and he was swaying from side to side. He looked like he was in a trance. I lifted him out his cage and he snaped out of it and seemed fine so after many cuddles and kisses I put him bk in his cage and he stared with the swaying again.

Any ideas why he would do this?

I can get him to the vets on wednesday if need be.

You know I have noticed that not only do just ruby and red eyes rats sway. Every cream or fawn hooded kid with black eyes we have had has swayed. They acutally sway more then our ruby eyed kids. Weird eh?

Same here Adrienne's two beige girls sway a lot, more then any of my red eyed girls.

Its so weird the way they do it :giggle:

You also may find that some pink and ruby eyed rats may not sway. I had two PEW's, Ruby always swayed, Willow never did. Both my ruby eyed rats don't sway now. It really depends on the rat.

Heh, I know the feeling. I was worried when my 2 guys, Titan and Snickers, started swaying their heads back and forth. Thank god I asked before I panicked and wasted money on a vet visit.
