I have been giving Trouble baby Advil since his injury Sunday night. The first few doses were mixed with just Bio-Best Wild Blueberry yogurt, which he got bored of. I then mixed in a little bit of Vanilla Almond Milk which he now loves. He was getting the meds every 6hrs for the first 24hrs, but I could tell it wasn't cutting it, so I gave it to him every 4hrs today.
I fully scrubbed down and changed the fleece of his "med cage" this morning (every morning) and when I just went to give him his meds, I noticed some of his poop in the bottom...It's almost harder looking than normal and has a definite white tinge the the outside of it - brown in the inside...

Is this from the yogurt, or the almond milk, or possibly the meds?? Should I find something else to mix the meds in for the next couple days he's on them, or is this something to possibly do with his injury (degloved + tendons tore out)....He's healing up pretty good, but I can just tell he's still in pain so don't want to go completely off the ibu just yet....

The colour is most likely from the milk but the harder poops could be constipation. I've never had any of my guys on ibu for more than a couple doses but I have had a few of mine that I'm pretty sure were constipated after that. If he's still in that much pain I would recommend seeing a vet to get some metacam and just to double check his injury.

It wouldn't have to do with the degloving...but more the food and meds. I do agree with Smilez, if you feel his pain is not being managed, it might be time for the vet.

It was mainly yesterday morning he still seemed off, but seems to be doing much better today, so I'm weaning him down on it to make sure. If he seems uncomfortable still, I'll be going to the vet for sure. I'm just glad knowing it's just a side effect and nothing else on top of what he's been through.
