Our boy Chocolat had a really bad case of lice and has scratched away most of his fur on his back. Now he's free of lice but his coat needs help! Poor big guy looks aweful :( . What could I do to help his coat re-grow and become shiny again?

He's eating rat blocks, fruit fruit and veggies, popcorn...anything else I could feed him that would help?

Thanks for any help!

Mostly it'll be time, but some olive oil (on a teensy bit of toast or mixed in baby cereal) or a little bit of avacado is good for skin and coat condition.

Thanks, I'll try that! I gave him some peeled pieces of avocado and he loved it, he needs to fatten up a little bit too.

Olive Oil or Falx Seed Oil works well, mine eat it right off my fingers.
Feed lot's of veggies, try to avoid sugar and salt.

Awesome, thanks! He's just so happy now that he doesn't have lice anymore, you could tell it took a toll on him and he wouldn't eat as much as before, hence the dry coat and getting a bit skinny. I have some flax seed capsules here so will poke a hole in them and see if he likes it!
