yesterday when i got home after being away for a week my sister told me that my rat remmy had bump on the side of his face. she thinks its from loki grooming him and pulling out some whiskers. which maybe the case but i am not sure and am a bit worried about it being a tumor. but today i was cleaning the cage and remmy was laying under a pile of paper sleeping and i noticed him come out and he was moving funny he wasn't really shaking it looked more liked he had hiccups cause it was more like a weird twitching. i moved him a little bit closer and he i was checking him out and i notticed that his eyes looked kind of strange and that he was drooling! After a few minutes he started to move normally again and i think it scared him cause when i went to pet him he jumped and moved away he did that a few times and then calmed down. Now he is in his cage sleeping normally like nothing happened. i am worried that he may have had a seizure. does anyone know what the signs would be or if this sounds like it?

That sounds like he was choking. How was his face? Did he have a bump when you looked?

I agree with lilspaz, sounds like he might have choked on something.
yeah he had the bump yesterday when i got home. its a small bump on the side of his face close to his nose. he could have been chocking on something but i have no idea what he was eating cause he seemed like he was just sleeping when i checked on him a few minutes before. do they drool if they start choking?

They can drool an awful lot when they choke. They generate a lot of saliva to help "melt" and dislodge the food.
