Vet on long island that will see multiple rats for one price

Hey everyone!

So I have taken one of my older pet store females to the vet for meds (myco). It is $59 just for the visit plus meds.

Now one of my other older females is showing respiratory symptoms. I started her on sandys left over meds. Another younger female may be showing respiratory symptoms as well... I'm watching her closely to see. Also, I am concerned sandy may be relapsing (this would be her third relapse) so I am also watching her closely.

At this point I would like to take them all to the vet to get checked out.... But with 5 females total, that will cost a lot. Does anyone know a vet who would be willing to check them all at a reduced price? Or give meds for whoever shows symptoms?

I live in Nassau county, long island, but could get to sulfolk county or the queens area.

Any help (or ideas on what to do for my girls) would be appreciated!!!

Have you tried asking the vet you're going to if he/she can just give you enough meds for all your ratties? (i.e. bring in one rat for an exam, go home with meds for all your rats.) Usually when I bring my girls to the vet for a URI, the vet will ask if there are more rats at home, and if I think they might all need meds too. It's not uncommon for rats who cohabitate to get URIs at the same time.

I have.... They said it is against the law. :-(. So far I haven't been able to find a vet who is willing to see rats and work with me price wise. It's ultra frustrating. :-(
