Vaginal growth

I had Tammy in to the vet about two weeks ago because she was bleeding from the vagina. The vet put her on Baytril and Prednisone for 10 days. After a few days without anything she now looks like this. See attached photos. Any ideas?

it looks like she may have prolasped her vagina, you can try putting plain white sugar on it to reduce swelling. dont let it dry out. and get her to the vet again for a recheck.

How is she otherwise? Does she appear in pain or ill? I'd get her to the vet as soon as you can.

Oh dear thats a prolapsed uterus. She needs a spay ASAP.

My husband took Tammy to the vet this afternoon. He was concerned with other issues that Tammy had. Another small tumor developing, respiratory and loneiness. Tammy lost the only other cagemate , her sister last week. Because of her age 31 months and illnesses we decided to help her cross the bridge. We are ratless at this point. We have had rats for 9 years and decided that when our loved ones were gone that we would take a break. We are missing them already but we know that we have to have time to heal. I will have to be satisifed with reading the forum and enjoy the good times with other members and try to keep the down turns positive. Snowflake, Angel, Faith, Malaika,Boots, Mrs.Black, Snickers,Dusty,Raven,Tammi,Sprite,Hallie, Christy,Cindi, and Talli are all together at Rainbow Bridge. Mommy and Daddy will always love you.

I am so sorry Ann, it probably felt way to sudden for the end of your ratty era.

We shall regale you with tales to make you feel as if you still have rats, just not the worry. ((hugs))
