Tumors and things

Seems like rats are prone to things like tumors and abysses. well it just seems like it because there are quite a few posts about it.

just wondering if anyone had any idea why, just curious

When I asked my vet this she told me all the over breeding can cause such havoc to a species. Also, many lab rats that have been tested on go back into the pet population and possibly bred as well.
It's really insane how many people breed rats. *shakes head*
